"Recognize" program re-design

Client: Internal Campaign for a Global Corporation
Role: Illustration Concept Designer & Motion Designer
Team: Project Manager, Creative Director, Art Director, Copywriter, Graphic Designers (support)

Overview
This project aimed to completely revamp the internal Recognize platform—a digital space for employees to celebrate each other’s achievements and milestones. The goal was to make recognition more intuitive, emotionally resonant, and visually engaging, while staying true to the brand’s guidelines.

Challenge
The existing recognition experience lacked visual warmth, consistency, and ease of use. With an outdated interface and limited personalization, it failed to encourage meaningful engagement or regular use.

Solution
Our team introduced a modernized concept called “Stylized Appreciation”, centered around a flexible library of illustrations and animations. The style was designed to feel friendly, inclusive, and positive—using characters, abstract shapes, and floral elements to represent moments of gratitude and connection.

As part of the redesign:

  • We simplified user journeys to reduce friction and encourage participation.
  • A modern color palette and refreshed visual hierarchy were applied across all assets.
  • The experience was extended across web pages, emails, memory books, and internal promotional materials.

Deliverables

  • 100+ static illustrations

  • 50+ animated GIFs (5–15 sec loops)

  • 5+ Standalone promotional animations
  • Redesign of the Recognition webpage

  • Visuals for emails, event moments, and themed recognitions, icons and others.

My Role
I joined the project at the second stage of concept development, where I led the creation of the illustration direction. Once approved, I continued to design and develop a library of static illustrations, then brought these visuals to life through custom motion graphics. I worked closely with the wider creative team and later coordinated with an additional graphic designer to meet the high volume of deliverables.
