Active Rainbow Infoletters

Showcase a series of infoletters created for various Erasmus+ projects under the Latvian-based NGO “Active Rainbow”. As the Art Director, I am responsible for crafting the visual identity and language for each project, ensuring a cohesive and engaging communication strategy.

For every project, I develop a unique visual identity, setting the tone for all related materials. Among these, the infoletters hold significant importance. They serve as comprehensive guides, providing essential information about the projects, their target audiences, and practical details. More than just informative documents, these infoletters are designed to attract and engage potential participants, reflecting our commitment to quality and attention to detail.

High-quality design is a key selling point, as it not only conveys information effectively but also showcases the professionalism and care of our trainers. Each infoletter is crafted to be both visually appealing and easy to understand, ensuring that the message is accessible and enticing to our audience.

Begin Again

Project Summary: “Begin Again” is a recurring long-term ESC Volunteering project welcoming two young volunteers from EU countries to join our NGO, Active Rainbow, in Latvia for a year. Participants will gain hands-on experience in NGO management, community building, and promoting inclusivity and solidarity.

Visual Design Concept: The infoletter’s vibrant gradients and  typography reflect the project’s energy and inclusivity. Dynamic color blends symbolize the diverse, supportive community volunteers will be part of. Thoughtfully placed text and images highlight key information and emotional connections, making the infoletter both engaging and informative.

Pride Begins

Project Summary: “Pride Begins” welcomes 10 volunteers from European countries to join our team and community for a month. Volunteers will help organize Baltic or Riga Pride activities, see the behind-the-scenes work, and host their own events during Pride week.

Visual Design Concept: The “Pride Begins” infoletter uses vibrant, rainbow-themed illustrations to reflect the festive and inclusive spirit of Pride. The colorful, playful graphics symbolize the diversity and creativity of the LGBTQ+ community. Bold, cheerful fonts and lively imagery create an energetic and welcoming atmosphere, aligning with the project’s goal of engaging and inspiring volunteers.

Reset

Project Summary: “Project Reset” aims to create safer and more inclusive learning spaces for youth workers, organizers, and participants in Erasmus+ Projects. It addresses safety concerns, discrimination, language barriers, cultural differences, and lack of accessibility.

Visual Design Concept: The “Reset” infoletter creates a soft yet bright atmosphere, evoking a sense of comfort and energy. The use of vibrant colors and playful elements reflects the project’s goal of fostering an inclusive and accessible environment. The slightly unfocused and fluid design elements symbolize the challenges of achieving clarity and inclusivity in today’s world. This visual approach underscores the project’s mission to bring accessibility and inclusion into focus.

Stories Act

Project Summary: “Stories Act” is a project focused on empowering, including, and acknowledging the LGBTQIA+/queer community and their allies through storytelling. In a polarized society, it aims to amplify diverse voices and promote empathy, intersectionality, and inclusion by exploring and utilizing storytelling tools.

Visual Design Concept: “Stories Act” project employs bold colors, abstract photography, and playful typography to create a dynamic and energetic aesthetic. By using overlapping photos of the same scene taken seconds apart, the design symbolizes diverse perspectives in storytelling, inviting viewers to engage and choose their focus. This approach reflects the project’s core message of embracing diverse voices and narratives, enhancing empathy, intersectionality, and inclusion through vibrant visual elements that capture attention and emphasize the richness of individual stories within the LGBTQIA+/queer community and their allies.
